Instructions

You can save a great deal of time and effort by using keyboard shortcuts for common tasks (such as using Windows logo key + L to switch to the Windows XP Welcome Screen). You may even find features that you didn't even know existed (such as holding SHIFT when you insert a CD into the CD-ROM drive to prevent the CD from automatically playing).

Create a quick reference on your desktop:  Right-click the icon in the top left corner of your Internet Explorer browser and, holding the right-click button down, drag it to your desktop. Release the button and select "Create Shortcuts Here" or "Create Active Desktop items Here."  The first creates an shortcut to this page on your desktop; the latter adds the page itself (not an icon) to your desktop.
